John 12:20-36 (KJV)
23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
I.WE BRING GOD GLORY WHEN WE MAGNIFY JESUS
John 4:24 (KJV) 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Worship is far more than praising, singing, and praying to God. Worship is a lifestyle of enjoying God. When you use your life for His glory, everything you do can become an act of worship.
II.WE BRING GOD GLORY WHEN WE LOVE OTHER.
Romans 15:7 (KJV) 7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
John 13:34-35 (NIV) “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Following Christ is not just a matter of believing; it also indicates belonging and learning to love the family of God.
III.WE BRING GOD GLORY WHEN WE LIVE LIKE CHRIST.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (KJV) 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Growing Spiritual mean that we allow Christ to manifest in every area of life, in the way we think, in the way we feel and the way we act. The more We develop Christlike character, the more We will bring glory to God.
IV.WE BRING GOD GLORY WHEN WE SERVE OTHERS WITH OUR GIFTS.
2 Corinthians 8:18-19 (ETRV) 18 We are sending with Titus the brother who is praised by all the churches. He is praised because of his service to the Good News.♦
19 Also, he was chosen by the churches to go with us when we carry this gift. We are doing this service to bring Glory and honor to the Lord and to show that we really want to help.
Each of us are uniquely designed by God with talents, gifts, skills, and abilities. God gave each gift for a Godly purposes. He wants us to use the gifts by serving others.
V.WE BRING GOD GLORY WHEN WE TELL OTHERS ABOUT JESUS.
2 Corinthians 4:15 (KJV) 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
God is glorified when we share him with others. We can not hide the truth nor can we keep it to ourselves, He expects us to share it with others.
VI. WE BRING GOD GLORY WHEN WE SUFFER AS A CHRISTIAN
2 Corinthians 4:16-17 (KJV)
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
1 Peter 4:16 (KJV)
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
God doesn’t want us complaining or grumbling when we go through painful experiences but instead he want us to look at the circumstances as an opportunity to grow in grace being thankful and blessing his name. Circumstances are bad not God, He’s still Good!
